Cath is a current Director of the IFS Board. Prior to this, she served as the Chair from July 2022 to December 2023. Before her appointment to the board, she was the Chief Executive Officer of IFS from December 2015 until June 2022 after working for many years in senior roles in both the superannuation industry and union movement.
She was the Chief Executive of the Australian Government Employees Superannuation Trust (AGEST Super) from 2010 until 2013, when the fund merged with AustralianSuper. Prior to this Cath was a Senior Industrial Officer at the ACTU and Assistant State Secretary for the National Tertiary Education Union (NTEU).
In 2016 Cath joined the Board of the Royal Women's Hospital and was appointed Chair on 1 July 2022. In January 2019 became a director of IFM Investors and Chair of The New Daily.
Until March 2019 Cath was a director of Ausgrid, and a member of the Victorian Public Sector Commission Advisory Board.
Cath was an IFS Board Member since January 2014 and was elected to the role of Chair in October 2014.
She was acting as Executive Chair since December 2015 and was appointed to the role of Chief Executive Officer effective 1 April 2016.
Cath is Director and Chair of IFM Investors and Chair of The New Daily. She is also Director and Chair of Industry Super Holdings (ISH) as well as Director of the Melbourne Arts Precinct Corporation. She was appointed Chair of the Jobs and Skills Australia Ministerial Advisory Board in March 2024.
She has been a member of the Audit Risk and Compliance Committee since August 2022. Cath was also appointed as a member of the IFS Group Remuneration Committee on 16 August 2022.
Cath has held a number of Directorships and committee positions throughout her career including Director of AGEST Super, Director of AustralianSuper, Director of Industry Super Australia and Member of the Industry Super Network Advisory Committee.
Cath holds a Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Laws.
