Cath is currently a Director of the IFS Board, having previously served as the Chair from July 2022 to December 2023. Before joining the board, Cath was the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) at IFS from December 2015 until June 2022. Her experience spans senior roles in both the superannuation industry and the union movement.
Cath was the Chief Executive of the Australian Government Employees Superannuation Trust (AGEST Super) from 2010 to 2013, before it merged with AustralianSuper. She also served as a Senior Industrial Officer at the ACTU and Assistant State Secretary for the National Tertiary Education Union (NTEU). In 2016, Cath joined the Board of the Royal Women’s Hospital and became its Chair in July 2022. Cath became a member of the IFM Investors Board in 2019 and was appointed Chair on 1 July 2023. She is also the Chair of ISPT Pty Ltd. Additionally, Cath holds director and chair positions at Industry Super Holdings (ISH) and the Melbourne Arts Precinct Corporation. In March 2024, she was appointed Chair of the Jobs and Skills Australia Ministerial Advisory Board.
Throughout her career, Cath has held numerous directorships and committee positions, including Director of AGEST Super, Director of AustralianSuper, Director of Industry Super Australia, Director of Ausgrid, Chair and Director of The New Daily, member of the Victorian Public Sector Commission Advisory Board, and member of the Industry Super Network Advisory Committee. She has been a member of the Audit Risk and Compliance Committee since August 2022 and was appointed to the IFS Group Remuneration Committee in the same month. Her career has been marked by significant leadership roles, diverse directorships, and contributions to various organisations.
