Leeanne has over 40 years’ experience in financial services. She started her career in the public sector before moving to AvSuper in 2001 where she spent six years, including two as CEO (February 2005-November 2007).
Most recently, Leeanne held the position of Inaugural Chief Executive of Spirit Super (April 2021 - March 2022) and prior to that, was Chief Executive at MTAA Super (November 2011 - March 2021).
She was awarded Fund Executive of the Year by FEAL in 2014.
Leeanne has previously served as Director of: Fund Executive Association Limited (FEAL) (2016 -2022); Industry Super Australia (ISA)(2012 -2022) and Australian Superannuation Funds Association (ASFA) (2018 - 2022).
She has also been Chair of ISA’s Finance, Audit and Risk Committee since 2018. Leeanne was appointed to the IFS Board in October 2022 and appointed Chair of the IFS Audit, Risk and Compliance Committee in January 2024.
Leeanne was appointed Chair of Mother's Day Classic Foundation in 2022 and in January 2023, she was appointed as a Director of Industry Super Holdings (ISH). She was appointed the interim CEO for ASFA commencing 3 October 2023.
Leeanne holds a Graduate Diploma, Organisational Leadership Executive and a Diploma of Financial Services. She has also completed ‘Interpersonal Dynamics for High Performing Executives’ at Stanford University and the Company Directors Course from Australian Institute of Company Directors.
Leeanne is currently studying for the Masters of Organisational Leadership at Melbourne Business School.
